I am Prachi Sharma. PS Tavishi is my pen name (nothing fancy, just added my birth name to the official one).
I have been working as a freelance writer since 2013. The same year, I begin writing articles for HubPages (a company owned by TheMaven, Inc.), which now receives nearly 100K views on a monthly basis.
In the year 2014, I received first prize for working on a documentary based on animal rights. I contributed to the gig as a writing coordinator. Along with two of my team members, we raised awareness of cruel experiments, selective breeding, and animal hunting for food and clothes.
I have written more than 300 articles online covering varied subjects. This includes literature, anime, technology, spirituality, yoga, business, and much more. I am a learner and an explorer, I follow the scent of wisdom and go wherever it takes me.
I am reconnoitering the world of writing. Since the start of my career, I have worked as a blogger, copywriter, technical writer, ghostwriter, and SEO writer. Gliding towards the wider horizon, I am now working on some bigger projects that I hope to share with you all, soon enough.
The research in writing is endless. It changes drastically every year. Take a look at a decade's old work and today's. The writing concepts are being challenged every now and then, and as writers, we have the full liberty to become self literary researchers.
Words are the most precious gift given only to us human beings. They have the power to motivate, harm, and appreciate. While some may struggle to pour in the right words at the right moment, writers know what to say to spark a healthy interaction.
Words are ever-evolving. The words that we hear today probably weren't in existence a few years ago. All thanks to the bold writers, who have revolutionized our lives with bountiful expressions.
Copywriting is perhaps the most diligent creative work, I have come across in my career to date. I'd prefer to call myself a copywriter. However, this writing form is so vast, it always throws me out of my comfort zone and compels me to cherish new experiences on a regular basis.
Silent may speak louder than words, but it's always the words that make the final cut. Words when written thoughtfully can stir up our emotions in an unimaginable way. We all have that writing flair within us, needed to reorient our milieu.
We can work for ourselves as well as for others. That's the best thing I like about writing. There's no end. We are always climbing up the stairs to discover something new. In fact, we can turn around, revise the steps, and rewrite our views in a new fashion. Then, again climb the stairs with a fresh approach.
I am a Computer Science graduate. My education has helped me obtain a job in 2014 as a software developer when I was still studying. It has also benefitted me in my writing career, helping me grasp immense technical skills.
As a writer, more specifically a copywriter, I often write my own copy and design it all by myself. I am a full-time freelancer now. My work involves both web development and writing. However, I always recognize myself as a writer (been my dream since I was 10).
Moreover, I am extremely-extremely passionate about performing arts. I received my first award as a lead Bharatanatyam dancer in 2007 at the Cultural Fest in my city. Whenever I get a chance, I am always learning new art forms such as Bharatanatyam, Ballet, Contemporary, and so on. I believe art is crucial for everyone as it literally awakens one's soul from a deep slumber.
In the end, all my endeavors help me hone my skills as an authoritative writer.
